A modern military officer opens his eyes in a ditch, in a dead man's body, in a region the kingdom uses as a dumping ground for its problems. The officer who was dumped in the Badlands decides that the revolution will happen now. As he rebuilds the city from nothing, confronts the corrupt forces that control the region, and introduces technologies that reshape the balance of power, the military officer discovers that the magic-scarred world is not just broken -- it is waiting for someone bold enough to fix it. The iron revolution begins with one man and a vision that this world has never imagined.
