Fifty years ago, the Gods died against an invisible adversary. As the hero works to save the yandere villainess instead of killing her, the forces that profit from the hero-villain conflict realize that one hero's compassion threatens to unravel the entire system. The yandere villainess who was supposed to die becomes the proof that obsessive love can be redirected, and the hero who chose mercy over mission discovers that the greatest act of heroism is saving the enemy everyone else wants dead.
