Chapter 29: The Plan
Damon entered his apartment and was immediately greeted by the sight of Raymond and Lena passed out on the couch. One lay sprawled awkwardly, the other curled close, their bodies pressed together as though they had unconsciously sought comfort in each other. Damon paused for a moment, then shook his head in quiet disbelief.
He walked over and gently tapped Raymond on the shoulder. Almost instantly, Raymond’s eyes snapped open, sharp even through his exhaustion.
