"I’ll freshen up then we can leave." She stood to head back to her room, ready to do anything to avoid thinking about Damon. He was a phantom both in her life and her thoughts; she didn’t think she could stand it.

"See you in a bit. Take your time!" Mina cheered, and Avery knew what she meant. If she wanted to have more fun with Damon before going to work, she was free to do so. If she was being honest, she would have loved to, but she couldn’t keep procrastinating her work simply for the fun of it.
