Chapter 35: It’s on her if anything happens to me
Rose’s fingers holding her phone trembled. Her lips were also trembling. Her eyes felt like they were going to cry. Tears were building up in her eyelids, but she controlled herself, not wanting to cry. She wouldn’t cry.
What had she expected from a woman like her—her birth mother? But her mother always treated her as if she had picked her from the street and did not care about her. It hurt her heart very much hearing such hurtful words from her mother. She had been used to this habit of hers—it had been going on for many years.
