He had the urge to ruffle Hera’s head, akin to how he would affectionately do so with his daughter. However, he hesitated, realizing that his hands were dirty and it might not be appropriate for their guest. So, he refrained from any physical gesture and continued dumping the mixed fertilizer into the compost bin. Another villager pushing a wheelbarrow arrived to do the same.
Rather than returning empty-handed, they approached a different compost bin and opened it. They stood idle for a couple of minutes, perhaps allowing the smell to dissipate before beginning to mix the fertilizer inside. Once ready, they shoveled it into the empty wheelbarrow.
