We continued to stare at each other before he moved closer. I watched as he bridged the distance in between us. It was all done in silence and I could hear my breathing.

I kept my eyes on him as he took the seed beside me. He sat on the bed very gently not making a sound and not disturbing me. He was awfully gentle here, mindful of my state even though the wound was on my forehead.
