They weren’t planning to cross it, as they were still waiting for Kieran to reach the threshold of Spirit Rank, but they wanted to check if Anastasia’s soul energy, combined with the belt artifact from David Elether, was enough for the barrier to let her exit the Land of Exile and go with them to the lower realm.
