Xander closed his eyes and made another try but just like before he was only able to get a bit closer to Ahmar’s mouth and then stopped after feeling the latter’s haggard breath on his face. Vampires could go hours without breathing and Xander wished that his master too could hold his breath for a little while because honestly, it was causing his system to pause.

" What are you doing?" asked Dion as he raised a brow at Xander who was having a hard time putting his lips against Ahmar’s. " Your master’s life is under a threat and you still can’t bring yourself to make a sacrifice so small like that?"
