The sun had just fallen and the shimmering moon glittered in the sky like a shiny pearl, its luminescence bright enough to light the entire inn. Even though Yakov hadn’t allowed anyone to come inside the room, he has very carefully and skilfully lit the fire in the arched fireplace and currently except for the harsh breathing of two men and the crackle of the burning wood no sound came echoed in the room.

Blaise looked at Yakov while the latter looked back at him, both of them were standing next to Bree’s bed and looked as if they were caught in a stalemate. After a short while, Blaise took a step back and cheekily smiled at Yakov, " What’s wrong first consort?" Hands folded in front of his chest, his silvery eyes glittered with a threat like a lion eyeing his prey. He didn’t fear Yakov, the two of them were equally matched when it came to strength, even if the latter was to lunge at him at this very moment, Blaise knew that he would be able to take him down without wasting a breath but of course, he would be severely injured in the wake. Something he didn’t want which was the only reason why he hasn’t attacked Yakov even when the latter stopped him from getting close to his wife, his mate and the very existence for which he existed in this world.
