Rosalia’s lips crashed against his once more, hungrily devouring him as if even one single second without his touch would cool her entire body and leave her aching and empty inside. It was a desperate, burning need for him that she had buried behind her tears for almost two full weeks.
The pain he had caused her, the raw image of him claiming another woman right before her eyes, had sealed her soul shut, and only he held the key to open it again and make her feel whole once more.
Max wrapped his arms around her waist, holding her tightly as he pulled her even closer, breaking their kiss for just a moment, even though she resisted and chased his mouth with a needy little whine that slipped from her throat.
