David's hand slowly moved over her right arm, drawing circles, crosses, ticks and all sorts of random things. He knew that broaching this subject would be difficult for her, especially since she seemed to prefer that the past remain in the past.
He just hadn't anticipated that talking about it would be like pulling a nail out of a wall with a plastic knife, it was a difficult task, almost impossible.
"I had a dream." he finally spoke after much thinking, "In that dream, we were married by this time and you lived with me in the Saxon tower. Our marriage was pervaded with many misunderstandings.
