The words spoken by Emilia left a bad taste in Phoebe's mouth and it wasn't just her but David and the officers too. The woman was lamenting about how they would be perceived by the church and how it would lead her to loosing her deaconess position in the church.
Not one word out of her mouth was pity for her dead daughter or condemnation for her killers. It was truly baffling!
Phoebe wondered if Emilia had been brainwashed in that faith because all they seemed to care about was it. Had she been promised a ticket to heaven?
