The pounding bass of the music and the drunken chatter swallowed Erica’s words. Luke didn’t hear her. He continued to kiss the woman, his hand squeezing her breast. The woman responded eagerly, moaning softly into his mouth, her nails trailing down his back.

Erica rolled her eyes and raised her voice sharply above the din. "Luke! Can we talk?"
