Anne kissed him back, clutching at his shirt. Just as she was melting into his warmth and closeness, she suddenly felt her body lifted off the ground. In the blink, she found herself cradled in his arms.

"Uh!" she gasped in surprise, quickly looping her arms around his neck. "What are you doing? You just woke up. You should be resting. And I’ve put on weight—you can’t carry me like this."
