Chapter 203: Frog Hospital (Three)

After the nurse left, Lu Zimo shut the door. He gingerly placed the glass jar on the bedside table, then snatched his hand back as if he'd been shocked, recoiling as though from something utterly foul.

Qi Si saw that the glass jar was crammed with tadpoles, each no bigger than half a fingernail. Their glossy black heads quivered faintly.

The tadpoles at the very bottom hadn't fully hatched yet, their tails still entwined with slimy remnants of their egg sacs. He figured, though, that by the time one got down to eating them, they would have likely finished hatching.
