Not silent — Paris was constitutionally incapable of silence, he filled rooms as naturally as water filled containers, the specific warm chaos of him present wherever he went. But quiet in a different sense. The restlessness that Lysander had learned to read in him — the particular quality of energy that preceded him doing something — had been absent since their return from Sparta.
