The marauders communicated using hand signals that only their own people could understand, yet a simple "OK" gesture nearly sparked a firefight.
The reason was that this gesture was considered highly insulting in the eyes of a certain group of Koreans. Someone immediately tried to draw a gun, but thankfully, they were held back.
They were an interstellar race with eyes growing out of their foreheads, requiring special refractive glasses just to see what was directly in front of them.
