He hadn't expected the fleet Commander to act so swiftly. It hadn't been long, yet the smuggling organization already declared their inability to take them back.
On the surface, this smuggling organization seemed to have some semblance of a conscience. At least they sent out an advance notice. Otherwise, the moment the stowaways remaining on Blazing Eye Star attempted their return journey, their only fate would be getting blown to pieces by the patrol warships.
As for the prepayments made for the return trip, the other party was certainly not going to refund them. Once a shadowy organization like this decided to cut and run, they had absolutely zero scruples.
