A nervous breath escaped my lips. Even though I wanted to give Hailey a taste of her own medicine, her abilities scared me. They had the potential to turn my strength into hers.
I cleared my throat, blinking way too fast, trying to regain my composure, remembering what Sam had to go through.
My intentions to win this fight was strong, as I wanted to be the Beta. I didn't want to reveal that I was the princess yet, so this competition has come as a golden opportunity for me. As a beta, I will have easy access to the public ears as well as to the elders, along with handling foreign affairs. I'm not letting this opportunity go, not because a fight freak decided to test my skills.
