Li Yijie’s mind was a chaotic storm as he suddenly opened his eyes, waking up to see a dim, gray ceiling above. Cold sweat drenched his forehead, and he breathed heavily, momentarily unsure of his surroundings or where his soul might go. He couldn’t tell if this was a lingering nightmare or a real, haunting guilt.
As I walked along, a carriage passed by with a silver tulip emblem on the front. Having been in Crescent Moon for so long, I recognized the origin of that emblem immediately.
When I saw Zhou Xiaoxiao crying, I panicked and asked her what was wrong. She shook her head gently, saying it was nothing, just that she suddenly felt very happy.
